Dear Mr. Stupak,

I believe you believe you have done the right thing by voting as you did, but I am disappointed in you and your decision.

As a resident of Michigan and the economy failing all around me you decided to spend money I do not have. As a small single business owner who has not had insurance for over 15 years I have paid for all my medical services. I took this approach because I could not afford health care insurance. After all the years my savings for paying as needed has been to the sum of 10k savings out of my pocket.

Michigan is in a world of hurt and you just put a financial burden on me that will more than likely nor effect me because I do not work for someone. Also to pass a piece of legislation that will make me accountable through taxes, fines and jail it makes me sick to my stomach that I was sold out and many people around me.

I understand that you will see the effect of your vote before I will as it will decrease you to expensive medical insurance that I pay for you to have.

My business has been suffering for the last 10 years and I do not believe that you have protected my rights, my assets or the people who live in my community. I also want to thank you for spending money you or I do not have. I believe in capitalism and believe you just ruined the consumer’s choice by placing me and others as one lump sum making us all the same, all our situations, needs and desires.

I have supported you for years and now I am thinking I made a mistake thinking you have my best interest in place but am finding you are self serving for your own political views and beliefs.

I want to thank you so much for spending my money that I do not have and when I do not participate in your social program I will be fined and jailed.

In my opinion you messed up and did not have your constituents’ in the best interest with all the tag along in the bill. Thank you again for determining my future and the masses for a social government that is broke and out of touch with what is really going on.

We are broke and it is not going to get any better. I predict the decisions you have made will ruin the private health care and possibly drive them out of business.

I watched C-Span when Massachusetts Blue Care explained to you that their profit margin was .46% and now you pass something that will take that business and put it into red and push them out of business when their rates are based on what they are getting charged by the providers.

I also predict as the consumer who does not use the system you are proposing I will not put enough demand on medical services which will drive up the cost of the Doctor and Hospital services. They are the true problem because they can charge anything they want to save my life. You voted in a broken machine, you did not listen to the doctors or the insurance companies to the true problems and I believe you just opened a big can of worms that our government had no right opening.

I am sorry that your free health care went up and that all federal and state employees insurances went up, but that is not my fault, but you made it my problem last night. Thanks again for spending my money through taxation.

I am sure this will not become a dying issue this time that will be swept under the carpet.

Forgot about as many things you do are. Your communications are very bad and I believe you and your colleagues need to step it up into the new age of information as we are moving out of an industrial age. As more children are coming out of school, if our schools can stay open, they are not prepared for what the economy is changing into. Please use technology to save money and time, please save our schools and quit spending money you do not have.

I know I will be doing more to keep you from doing it anymore because you did not represent me or my community yesterday by voting Yes to move us into a socially ran government that wants to solve all my problems.

Bad move for our future. Did you realize what you did? Immigrants coming in masses over our borders, Thank You Jimmy Carter! Did you know that few people in your district are earning a wage over the IRS poverty level? Did you know that any mother making under the IRS Poverty level gets free money in their tax return? Come on Bart!

What the heck are we doing, did you give up on capitalism?

We have many problems, why the heck would you want to tackle something that adds to the problems?

As I travel north and I look at Canada and the 150 wind turbines spinning selling electricity to the United States, I wonder if you or anyone in your position has a true grasp on our realities and that there are no new jobs, no growth and we are loosing major ground every day.

I also wonder if you even realize that we are at war! And with who? Who will surrender to us? How will we know we won? My opinion, you voted on a war against a make believe country with no borders and with no gain. It is a Shame, we will be at war forever judging the rest of the world for not believing in freedom and human rights of choice. And you just voted yesterday to take away my freedom; does that make you a hypocrite?

I, don’t know any more but I am bewildered and realize if I want a better direction other than the ones being decided for me, I need to stand up and say something.

I will be posting this letter on my blog as to express my opinion and to let others know that we just got screwed in the long run.

Hey here is a good one for you to tackle. Get rid of Aspartame, or do you have stock in it with Rumsfeld?  It is killing Americans and causing Health Problems!

It is amazing to me how people will come to your aid when it comes to critique. For example, I have miss-spelled words and the great people will tell me that I messed up, they can not help it, I love it, and it makes conversation. I remember a long time ago that a good marketer or salesperson could take a bad thing and make it good. Along with that, I remember a saying I heard a long time ago was “Any advertising is good advertising” Good or Bad.

With this concept I am sure Dish Network who I am a retailer for will make the best of the lawsuit against them in a Texas court where TiVo blamed them for stealing the ideas of recording onto a hard disk. Let’s face it, TiVo just wants to have their market share and used the courts to achieve that. As an American, I am sorry, but that is BS!

Another instance is with Toyota. Have you noticed the positive ad campaign they are putting on to save face? It reminds me of political ads, in a way. But the point here is how a company can take something bad and will turn it around. Ok..I am going to make a prediction. Tiger Woods, will come back and be more popular than before. Why? He is the greatest golfer ever and nothing like anything we have ever seen. In years our hearts will forgive and forget.

Taking something bad and making good of it is in every success story, which you can take to the bank! Do not under-estimate anyone who has a vision. Determination will come out and that strength will be noticed and accepted by the majority. Example: Richard Nixon. We immortalized a criminal. Even though he is in our history books as a known criminal, who never received a trial, but an impeachment of his pears as The Grand Jury. He was convicted! But we praised his work 30 years later on TV Media saying great things that he did. What is up with that? Talk about mixed messages.

Point is, you can take anything and make good out of it. If your day is not going to plan, look at it in a different perspective and think a little by taking a second before you react and find a way to pull the good out. This is so hard! I can not even explain, but by doing it you will feel a release and you will find yourself in a calmer place. By finding the good in things, and I do not mean by sarcasm, but the good of what can come out of anything. A challenge to you is to practice this. Shut up, listen, Think and think again of the possibilities for the better. Until then don’t say a word till you can come up with the better. Mama told me, bless her, and “If you don’t have anything good to say then don’t say anything at all!” How true it is, how true it is!

Doesn’t that just make you warm? Imagine writing sitting in front of a fire. Feeling all relaxed and having the feeling of being warm and fuzzy inside. Starring into the fire gathering ideas as the flames dance ever-changing and never the same.

I like watching a fire and my mind goes into calm as I watch the flames dance all over the place. Or I will pick a spot in the coals and watch the embers pop and crack. Most people I know love a fire and enjoy just sitting around watching it with intensity. Other than the smoke getting into your eyes and breathing it in, there is nothing else irritating about it. Just sit on the best side to avoid the discomfort.

Inspiration can come and go but finding that calm to let your mind wrap around your thoughts and express them doesn’t come as easy for some. I know that a fire lets my mind wander but I don’t have that fire everyday that brings that calmness to me. I always want to be at that point of creativity and the want to share what I am thinking.

I think most people who have a hard time coming up with something to write about don’t take the time to understand that most of it comes from wanting to share. Not being afraid of criticism and just sharing. If we want to get technical about our I’s and T’s we may never get past what really matters and that is the sharing.

Sure a good article should be well written in the eyes of a scholar but I am not writing to impress them. I am writing to share and as long as I can get my point across that is all that matters. But on the other hand if I want to attract like-minded people to connect with I better at least be some what conscious of who I am writing to, Eh?

I guess if I want to talk about a fire I am not talking to some one who is talking about water now am I. But if I want to meet that person I better include putting out a fire with water. Creating a connection between water and fire could be difficult as they are two different things but you can see the relationship as I may need water to put out that fire.

I hope I am making my point because we all want to make connections and our writing can do that for us. Just look at who you are trying to make a connection with and see how you can inter relate the two things, you and them, what you do and what they do.

Practice makes perfect! How do you get to Carnegie Hall as a musician? Practice, Practice, Practice! How do you become a better writer, blogger, copy writer or anything for that matter, by doing it, doing it often and evaluating yourself through comments of people you trust. Getting good at anything takes time and if you have a knack for it, it will even be that much easier. So be calm, relax and enjoy the fire.
